Shannon Longino, CPM®
Shannon is currently First Vice President with Suntrust Bank and works with their Affordable Housing Finance/Asset Management Division (Suntrust Community Capital). She has been in the Industry for more than 25 years and has an extensive background in multi-family Property Management and Asset Management Leadership. She has held several positions of increasing responsibility i.e. Senior Vice President, Vice President/Senior Asset Manager, Regional Manager, Property Manager, and Resident Services Director. She has been a Team Member with a leading Banking entity (Suntrust) and Property Management entities primarily in the Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Mississippi markets.
Shannon graduated from Alameda College with a B.A. in Sociology and has earned her professional designations such as: Certified Property Manager (CPM) from the Institute of Real Estate Management, while also holding other distinguished Designations such as the Housing Credit Compliance Professional (HCCP) from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Certified Manager of Housing (CMH), Certified Manager of Occupancy (CMO), Certified Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), and Site Based Budget Specialist (SBS) from the National Center for Housing Management (NCHM), and previously served in the United States Army.
Shannon is a native of Atlanta and has devoted her life and time to her Family’s Legacy for Community Service by advocating for Low Income Families which focus on the areas of Housing, Education, Health Wellness, and Community Revitalization/Redevelopment. She and her Family built a legacy of service in the Eastlake Community. She extended her passion of helping Low Income Families to her career path where she has strategically aligned herself with Companies/Agencies that support the upward empowerment of Families to move them towards opportunities that offer better quality of life, housing, education, and healthy lifestyles.
She currently serves as the President of the Institute of Real Estate Management’s (IREM) Georgia Chapter, a Member of the Drew Charter School Board, University of Georgia (UGA) Advisory Board Member, Rockdale County Parent Council, recently Co-Chaired the Eastlake Women’s Alliance, and has previously served on the Executive Board for the Georgia Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) in roles such as: President Elect, Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Communications, Chairperson of the Membership Committee, and Chairperson of the Corporate Outreach Committee.
With more than 25 years of service, Shannon continues to serve in our Industry and in her Community as she a living Legacy of the Eastlake Community and was the youngest Member to serve on the Eastlake Planning Committee as she supported her Grandmother, Eva Davis, who originally initiated efforts to redevelop Eastlake Meadows. She continues her passion by working to partner with Agencies, Programs, and Initiatives of Eastlake and Atlanta abroad whose primary mission is to continue progress with Community Development and Community Relationship Restoration.
